                          Welcome to the

 Construction SkillsTraining- Global web site.

The use of Cranes and Rigging in all types of industry, is leaving qualified Operators and Riggers in short supply, all around the globe. This shortage, inevitably results in more 'Lifting & Crane' related incidents & accidents.

Training in the safe operation of construction equipment, as well as Rigging Equipment and Crane Inspections, significantly decreases the risk of those incidents & accidents, that result in injuries, fatalities and damage.

Construction SkillsTraining-Global gives you the chance to complete all 'Theory' units to pre-qualify you for further 'Practical' training. Meaning that at least 70% of your training is done at home. This means that being able to work from home, you don't have to waste time travelling or taking time off work. This in itself, will save you lots of money. You can purchase one module at a time, or purchase the whole course!

The Construction Skills Training-Global concept of training by 'Module' makes it so much easIer for the user to budget for the training course of their choice. There are no time limits on courses, as there would be, if you were to purchase a full training package elsewhere.

Should you decide later that the course is not really for you, then you haven't wasted the cost of a full course, once again, saving you money.

Each course content has been formulated on our 42 years in the industry, the latest 'Codes-of-Practice', plus  Australian, British and American 'Standards' and the AQTF (Australian Quality Training Framework)

It should be noted that while certain references are made in this document concerning legislation and Codes of Practice, employers should ensure that full recognition is made of the requirements within all relevant company policies; Regulations and Codes of Practice, which govern the employment and training of personnel.
Employers should also ensure that employees are made fully aware of the requirements within current Policies, Regulations and Codes of Practice, which control the undertaking of their duties and responsibilities
.

For companies anywhere in the world requiring 'In-House-Training' please contact us for further details of your requirements.

Each successful candidate will recieve a 'Certificate-of-Achievement' showing each unit of training completed and results attained.

Because the training we administer is predominantly to the Australian Standards, your acievement certificate should be recognised world wide.

You should now ask yourself the following questions:

1. Is this training really for me?

2. What's in it for me?

3. What will I really achieve?

4. What are the outcomes and benifits?

5. Can I complete the tutorials as they are written in English?

6. Is there a Training Provider near me that can provide Practical Training? For students in Western Australia click here

If the answers to those questions are acceptable to you, then congratulations and we look forward to working with you, to enhance your career!

Please feel free to browse our site and see if we have something for you.

DEFINITION OF A RIGGER

'Rigger' means a person directly responsible for the placing in position of the members of a building or structure, other than scaffolding, in the course of erection and for the manner of ensuring the stability of those members, for dismantling or demolishing buildings or structures, other than scaffolding, or for setting up or dismantling cranes or hoists.

Riggers work in a variety of areas: civil and mechanical construction, entertainment, marine works and even factory maintenance.

As a Rigger, you may be involved with erecting steel on a building site; moving machinery during construction; demolition or maintenance of a factory; rigging on a ship in the dockyards; working with mobile cranes; even laying pipe work for an oil refinery. These jobs come under the heading of 'building & construction work'. However, the building industry is not the only industry that employ riggers. The entertainment industry, for example, needs riggers to carry out a lot of its work: from flying actors across the stage, to dropping a giant neon sign on a car for an insurance advertisement.

As a rigger you will be directly responsible for these operations, and you will need to know the regulations governing the work you do.
